The Chelsea 272XSESX-A5RY or 272XSESXA5RY is a 6-bolt, hot-shift power take-off from the Chelsea 272 Series, a medium-duty PTO line that consolidates and replaces the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 series into a single platform. This unit runs a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key and supports pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) engagement. The 272 Series is rated for continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm) and intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) range. Output power reaches 56+ HP (41-50 kW), with shaft power of 57 HP at 1,000 RPM and 29 HP at 500 RPM. The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates six previous medium-duty hot-shift PTO families (230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 series) into one platform. The series offers nine speed ratios and 18 shift options. The integral air control valve is included. Direct-mount outputs are available with optional Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft life. Driveshaft outputs in the series include a Smart-Start option designed for high-torque start-up conditions.
