The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off 489XLAHX-V5AZ or 489XLAHXV5AZ is a mechanical-shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast-iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft and draws on tapered bearings for greater load-bearing capability compared to needle-bearing designs. Output is through a 1-1/4" round keyed shaft. Shift operation is wire/cable mechanical. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series, making service straightforward.
