The Chelsea 489ZADAX-A5RA or 489ZADAXA5RA is a 489 Series Power Take-Off designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This series uses wire/cable mechanical shift and features tapered bearings for greater load-bearing capability compared to needle-bearing designs. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Output is via a 1-1/4" round shaft with a key.
