The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates several earlier Chelsea medium-duty PTO lines, including the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Series, into a single platform with nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options. The series supports both direct-mount and driveshaft output configurations. Direct-mount variants offer an optional Wet-Spline feature for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output variants may include the Smart-Start option, designed for high-torque engagement conditions. The integral air control valve is included with air-shift configurations.
