The Chelsea 272 Series power take-off assembly, part number 272XGAJP-B3RE or 272XGAJPB3RE, is a 6-bolt hot shift PTO built for medium-duty applications including aerial, towing and recovery, construction equipment, and water trucks. The 272 Series supports up to 300 lb-ft of intermittent torque and is available with either pneumatic (air) or hydraulic shift. It comes with an integral air control valve and rotatable flanges for flexible installation. Output shaft options in this series include a 1-inch round shaft with 1/4-inch key and a 1-1/4-inch round shaft with 5/16-inch key. The 272 Series also offers an optional wet-spline configuration for extended pump and PTO shaft life, along with a Smart Start option for high-torque start-up conditions.
