281GGFJW-B3RY Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 281GGFJW-B3RY or 281GGFJWB3RY, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. An evolution of the proven 280 Series, the 281 Series features a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs 80% thicker than the predecessor design. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues. The available Wet Spline Lubrication option delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. SmartStart reduces shock load at start-up, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment.
