The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJW-B8RY or 281GGFJWB8RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, most commonly Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. The 281 Series evolves directly from the proven 280 Series platform with several targeted upgrades: a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and clutch pack steel discs increased 80% in thickness to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed output needs. Markets served include fire and rescue, truck cranes, refuse, and pumper-cleaner vehicles.
