The Chelsea 281GSFJP-D5RY or 281GSFJPD5RY is a hydraulically shifted, hot-shift Power Take-Off from the Chelsea 281 Series, engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. This PTO evolved from the top-selling 280 Series with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and steel discs in the clutch pack increased 80% in thickness to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference issues around the pump. The wet spline lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times over a standard dry installation. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. SmartStart reduces shock load at engagement, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment.
