The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GTFJP-B5XD or 281GTFJPB5XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, adding a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and resist vibrational effects, and an 80% thicker clutch pack to reduce premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed applications. Output options include SAE B and SAE C pump flanges, ISO 7652 pump flange, and driveline configurations.
