The Chelsea 282GCAJX-V3XD or 282GCAJXV3XD is an 8-bolt, medium-duty hot-shift power take-off from the Chelsea 282 Series, designed for applications demanding continuous-duty torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm). The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with a 5/16" key. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air valve built in. Shaft power output reaches 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Compatible with Allison, Volvo/Mack, Eaton/Fuller, and other transmission manufacturers. Direct-mount outputs are available with the optional Wet-Spline feature for extended PTO and pump shaft life. Driveshaft outputs include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. The Smart Start option aids high-torque engagement. Common markets include aerial, construction equipment, water trucks, towing and recovery, and home fuel oil delivery.
