The Chelsea 282XMAJX-13XV or 282XMAJX13XV is an 8-bolt, medium-duty hot-shift power take-off from the Chelsea 282 Series. It accepts pneumatic (air) or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation and delivers continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm), with an intermittent rating of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm). The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. Shaft power output runs 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 282 Series is a redesigned medium-duty hot-shift PTO that combines the best elements of the 238 Series with an upgraded drivetrain rated for up to 300 lb-ft intermittent or continuous duty. The series offers nine speed ratios, 18 shift options, and a broad selection of direct-mount and driveshaft outputs. Direct-mount configurations support the optional Wet-Spline design for extended PTO and pump shaft life. Driveshaft outputs include a positive stop to prevent seal damage. Typical markets include aerial work platforms, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and home fuel oil delivery trucks.
