The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XMDAX-V5RK or 282XMDAXV5RK, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot-shift PTO designed for a wide range of truck applications including aerial work, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery. It shifts via pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation and features a 1-1/4" round output shaft with a 5/16" key. The 282 Series carries a continuous-duty torque rating up to 300 lb-ft, with intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Shaft power output reaches 57 HP at 1,000 RPM and 29 HP at 500 RPM. Compatible transmissions include Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other makes.
