The Chelsea 282XPAJX-A3RK or 282XPAJXA3RK is a medium-duty hot shift PTO assembly from the Chelsea 282 Series, one of the most versatile PTOs in its class. The 282 Series mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and is available with pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) shift. The Chelsea 282 Series was developed as a redesign of the medium-duty hot shift PTO line, combining the best elements of the earlier 238 Series with updated components. The series offers nine speed ratios and 18 shift options. Direct mount configurations include an optional Wet-Spline design for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations include a positive stop to help prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. The series also supports a Smart Start option for high-torque start-up conditions.
