The Chelsea 282XPDAX-15RK or 282XPDAX15RK is a medium-duty hot-shift PTO assembly from the Chelsea 282 Series, compatible with Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other transmission makes. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and accepts pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation. The 1-1/4" round output shaft uses a 5/16" key. The 282 Series is rated for continuous-duty torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm), with intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Shaft power output runs 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. An integral air valve, rotatable flanges, and a Smart Start option for high-torque engagement make this unit well-suited for aerial, construction, towing and recovery, water truck, and fuel oil delivery applications.
