The Chelsea 282 Series PTO Assembly, part number 282XSAJX-V3RF or 282XSAJXV3RF, is a medium-duty hot-shift power take-off built for continuous-duty applications. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and fits transmissions from Allison, Volvo/Mack, Eaton/Fuller, and other manufacturers. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air valve built in. The 282 Series carries a continuous torque rating up to 300 lb-ft and an intermittent torque rating in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Shaft power runs 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Rotatable flanges and a Smart Start option for high-torque start-up are part of the 282 Series design.
