The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 288GCFJP-M5AC or 288GCFJPM5AC, is a heavy-duty 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform and rated for up to 390 lb-ft continuous duty torque. Wider gears and larger-capacity bearings support that single continuous torque rating without a separate intermittent de-rate. The ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibration-related wear driven by modern engine designs. A positive-stop output shaft protects oil seals from coupling damage, rotatable cast-iron flanges minimize clearance conflicts, and the Wet Spline lubrication option extends pump shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
