The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GFAHX-A4RB or 489GFAHXA4RB, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on some other mounting configurations, reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers a 1-1/4" round output shaft with key. Intermittent torque for the 489 Series is rated at 250 lb-ft, matching the capacity of the 442 Series. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability.
