The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GHAHX-P3RB or 489GHAHXP3RB, mounts directly to 8-bolt transmission openings on Eaton Fuller, Volvo, Mack, and other compatible manual transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission without an adapter plate, which eliminates a potential leak path. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); continuous torque is de-rated 30% from that figure. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Output power reaches 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. This unit uses pressure lube (P designation). Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
