The Chelsea 489GHITX-A3RA or 489GHITXA3RA is a 489 Series power take-off assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, matching the torque capacity of the Chelsea 442 Series. The 1-1/4" round output shaft is available with key. Shaft power output reaches 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for added load capacity.
