The Chelsea 489GHITX-A3XK or 489GHITXA3XK is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible units. The integral one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt opening, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers an intermittent torque rating in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Output is via a 1-1/4" round shaft with key option. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series. Available as a kit-style unit for straightforward field servicing.
