The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on many competing designs, removing a common leak path. This unit uses a 12V electric/air shift and delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4" round output shaft with key accommodates a wide variety of driven equipment. The 489 Series carries the tapered bearings and kit-style construction shared with the 442 Series.
