The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 878XBFJW-M3RF or 878XBFJWM3RF, is a constant-mesh PTO built for Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series improves on the proven 877 Series design with a ductile iron bearing cap that is 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to reduce vibrational effects and improve clamp load, and an 80% increase in steel disc thickness within the clutch pack. A cast iron housing, rotatable cast-iron flanges for reduced clearance interference, and a wet spline lubrication option that delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life round out the design.
