The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off, part number 878XBFJW-M5RZ or 878XBFJWM5RZ, is a constant mesh PTO engineered to fit Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series improves on the proven 877 Series design with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to reduce vibrational effects and improve clamp load, and steel clutch disc thickness increased by 80%. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and a positive-stop driveline output eliminates oil seal damage from coupling contact.
