The Muncie CS8S-U6809-E2KX or CS8SU6809E2KX is a CS8 Series power take-off unit built around an 8-bolt clutch-shift design. It carries 19 transmission input gear options, making it compatible with a wide range of automatic and manual transmissions including Allison 1000/2000 series units. Direct mount pump flanges cover SAE "A", "B", and "BB" patterns as well as DIN 5462, and the flanges rotate to maximize pump clearance. Three remote mount output shaft configurations are available in keyed and flange types. Muncie's patented drag brake holds the shaft stationary when the PTO is disengaged, and an optional pulse generator interfaces with a System Protection Device to monitor output shaft speed.
