The Chelsea 272GBAJP-G5XR is a 272 Series 6-bolt hot shift power take-off assembly from Parker Chelsea. The 272 Series consolidates several earlier medium-duty PTO lines into one platform, supporting up to 300 lb-ft intermittent torque and 56+ HP output. The shift type for this series is either pneumatic (air) or hydraulic, and the assembly includes an integral air control valve. Output shaft options within the 272 Series include round shaft with 1" - 1/4" key or 1-1/4" - 5/16" key configurations. Rotatable flanges add installation flexibility, and the series supports wet-spline and Smart-Start options for demanding start-up conditions. The Chelsea 272 Series was developed to consolidate and replace the earlier 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Series medium-duty hot shift PTOs. The 272 Series offers 9 speed ratios and 18 shift options within the product family, with direct mount and driveshaft output configurations. Direct mount configurations include an optional wet-spline design for longer service life. Driveshaft output configurations include the Smart-Start feature for high-torque start-up conditions. Common application markets include aerial equipment, construction equipment, towing and recovery, and water trucks.
