The Chelsea 272 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 272MBAJP-P3XD or 272MBAJPP3XD, is a 6-bolt hot shift PTO with pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. The 272 Series is rated for intermittent torque of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) and continuous torque up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm); check application pages for your actual torque rating. Shaft power output is rated at 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 272 Series consolidates and replaces the 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 series. The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates the earlier 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 series into a single platform with upgraded internals rated for up to 300 lb-ft continuously. The series offers nine speed ratios, 18 shift configurations, and a range of direct-mount and driveshaft outputs. Direct-mount configurations are available with an optional Wet-Spline output for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations can include the Smart-Start feature designed for high-torque start-up conditions. The integral air control valve is included. The 272 Series is suited for aerial, construction, towing and recovery, and water truck applications.
