The Chelsea 272 Series power take-off assembly, part number 272XDAJP-D5XV or 272XDAJPD5XV, is a 6-bolt hot shift PTO built for medium-duty truck applications including aerial, construction equipment, towing and recovery, and water trucks. The 272 Series supports intermittent torque ratings from 201 to 300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) and is available with either pneumatic or air shift or hydraulic shift, with an integral air control valve included. Output shaft options in this series include a 1-inch round shaft with 1/4-inch key and a 1-1/4-inch round shaft with 5/16-inch key. Direct mount configurations are available with optional wet-spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. A Smart-Start feature is offered for high-torque start-up conditions.
