The Chelsea 272 Series PTO Assembly, part number 272XMESX-A5XV or 272XMESXA5XV, is a 6-bolt hot shift power take-off designed for medium-duty mobile equipment applications. The 272 Series supports intermittent torque ratings from 201 to 300 lb-ft and delivers 56+ HP output. It is available with either pneumatic or hydraulic shift and includes an integral air control valve as standard. Rotatable flanges give flexibility at installation, and the series offers nine speed ratios across 18 shift configurations. The Chelsea 272 Series consolidates and replaces the earlier 230, 231, 236, 238, 270, and 271 Series medium-duty hot shift PTOs into a single platform. Moving parts are upgraded throughout to handle 300 lb-ft continuously or intermittently. Direct mount output options include the optional Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output configurations include the Smart-Start feature for high-torque engagement conditions.
