The Chelsea 282XBAJX-15XD or 282XBAJX15XD is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot-shift power take-off from the Chelsea 282 Series, designed for continuous-duty operation. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. Shift options include pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air valve built into the assembly. Compatible transmission manufacturers include Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other applications. Output power reaches 57 HP at 1,000 RPM (43 kW). Intermittent torque falls in the 201-300 lb-ft range, and the 282 Series carries a continuous torque capability up to 300 lb-ft. The rotatable flanges ease installation, and an optional Wet-Spline output extends PTO and pump shaft service life. Smart Start is available for high-torque startup demands.
