The Chelsea 282XKDAX-P5RF or 282XKDAXP5RF is a medium-duty hot shift power take-off assembly from the 282 Series, designed for demanding continuous-duty cycles. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and accepts pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) actuation, making it adaptable to a wide range of truck configurations from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, and Volvo/Mack transmissions. The series offers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift options, with direct-mount and driveshaft output configurations. Driveshaft outputs include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from yoke over-insertion. Typical markets include aerial lift, construction, towing and recovery, water trucks, and home fuel oil delivery.
