The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off, part number 282XKDAX-A5RK or 282XKDAXA5RK, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot-shift PTO designed for demanding continuous-duty applications. It mounts to transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" key. Shift actuation is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic). The 282 Series delivers up to 300 lb-ft continuous torque and 56+ HP output, with shaft power rated at 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Direct-mount outputs are available with optional Wet-Spline technology to extend PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft outputs include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. Typical markets served include aerial work platforms, construction equipment, defense, material handling, water drilling, towing and recovery, and home fuel oil delivery trucks.
