The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off, part number 288GSFJP-M3XV or 288GSFJPM3XV, is a heavy-duty 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform. The 288 Series delivers a single, continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, made possible by wider gears and larger capacity bearings. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces the damaging vibrational effects of modern engine designs. The rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and the standard output shaft includes a positive stop to eliminate oil seal damage from driveline couplings. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. Wet Spline Lubrication, available on this series, extends pump shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
