The Chelsea 489GRAHX-A5GK or 489GRAHXA5GK is a 489 Series power take-off assembly built for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt opening without an adapter plate, which eliminates a potential leak path. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); shaft power runs 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM, with output power in the 46-55 HP range. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Kit-style construction shares internal parts with the 442 Series, making field service straightforward.
