The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This unit ships with a 1-1/4" round output shaft with key and uses wire/cable mechanical shift. Intermittent torque for the 489 Series is rated at 250 lb-ft (339 Nm), matching the torque capacity of the Chelsea 442 Series. Shaft power output is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM.
