The Chelsea 288GGFJP-M5XV or 288GGFJPM5XV is a 10-bolt constant mesh power take-off built on the 288 Series platform, which delivers a continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft. Output is via a round shaft with a 1-1/4" key. The cast iron housing rides on wider gears and larger-capacity bearings compared to the predecessor 287 Series. Ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and reduces vibration-induced wear from modern engine designs. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce clearance and interference issues. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. Wet Spline Lubrication is available and provides 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. A hose is included. Common markets include snow and ice, vacuum, aerial, and refuse applications.
