The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 878XBFJP-M5RS or 878XBFJPM5RS, is a constant-mesh PTO designed to fit Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. Built on an improvement of the proven 877 Series platform, the 878 Series features a ductile iron bearing cap that is 117% stronger than gray iron, along with an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and reduce the damaging vibrational effects of modern engine designs. The cast iron housing and rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, while the Wet Spline Lubrication option delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life.
