Chelsea 489 Series PTO Units
The Chelsea 489 Series is Parker Chelsea's mechanical shift 8-bolt PTO. It bolts straight to an 8-bolt PTO opening, so it does not need the adapter plate a 6-bolt PTO uses on an 8-bolt aperture.
489 Series features
- Shift options include air shift, 12 or 24 volt electric/air shift, cable shift and constant mesh.
- Installation kits are listed for the Eaton Procision, Eaton Endurant HD and XD, and the Detroit DT12, which uses its own keyed adapter.
- Standard, deep and CAT TH55 mountings, with or without pressure lube.
- SAE A, B and BB pump flanges, DIN 5462, or a 1-1/4 inch round shaft for a driveline.
- Parker offers kits to convert the older 488 Series to a 489 (329262X standard mount, 329263X deep mount).
Find your exact unit
Start with the model number on the white tag on your PTO. A 489 model number reads: series, mounting, gear ratio, input gear and lube option, then after the dash the shift option, assembly arrangement and output. For example, 489XQAHX-P3GH is a standard mount, 19/24 ratio unit with 12 volt electric/air shift and a greaseable rotatable SAE BB flange.
