Eaton Fuller 16118 sliding clutch is listed in the Mainshaft Assy group of the factory parts list, item 8, quantity 3 per assembly, for the RT-11710B, RT-11715, RT-12609A, RT-14613 and RT-8608L, and as item 16 for the RT-12509. The RT-11710B, RT-11715, RT-12609A and RT-12709H also list it as item 7 in the Non-Selective M/S Assy group. The sliding clutch is the piece that gets moved into engagement with a mainshaft gear, locking that gear to the shaft so power can pass through. Worn or tapered clutching teeth tend to walk apart under load, and the usual symptom is the transmission slipping or jumping out of gear. Gear clash shortens those teeth, so check them whenever the box is open. An Eaton Fuller part from Pro Gear and Transmission. Call us to confirm proper fit for your unit.
