The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off, part number 878XKFJP-M3XV or 878XKFJPM3XV, is a constant-mesh PTO engineered for Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series builds on the proven 877 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and steel clutch-pack discs with 80% greater thickness to handle the vibrational demands of modern engine designs. The cast iron housing keeps costs practical for high-cycle vocational work. Output options span SAE B, SAE BB, and SAE C pump splines, companion flanges, and DIN flange configurations. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed requirements, and the wet spline lubrication option extends shaft service life by 7 to 10 times. A hydraulic hose is included.
