The Chelsea 897 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 897HDFJW-M5XK or 897HDFJWM5XK, is a constant-mesh PTO built specifically for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the pump output flange to the rear of the transmission, allowing the gear housing to tuck tightly against the transmission for improved pump clearance. The output shaft is SAE C ("XS" extended shaft), and the unit uses Wet Spline Technology to reduce wear on the PTO and pump shaft splines under demanding duty cycles. Continuous-duty torque is rated up to 670 ft-lb; shaft power output reaches 128 HP at 1,000 RPM.
