The Chelsea 282GBAJX-V5XD or 282GBAJXV5XD is a medium-duty hot shift power take-off from the Chelsea 282 Series, designed for demanding mobile equipment applications including aerial units, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery. It mounts via an 8-bolt pattern and fits transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible manufacturers. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air valve included. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a 5/16" key. Shaft power output reaches 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 282 Series supports a continuous-duty torque rating up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm), with intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range.
