Chelsea part number 281GCFJP-G3XD or 281GCFJPG3XD is a 281 Series hydraulically shifted, hot-shift power take-off engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series is an evolution of the top-selling 280 Series, with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with 80% thicker steel discs to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed demands. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and the wet spline lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times.
