The Chelsea 489XSDBX-A3XD or 489XSDBXA3XD is an 8-bolt mounted power takeoff from Chelsea's 489 Series, designed for transmissions from Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical, and the output shaft is a 1-1/4" round (with key option available). Intermittent torque rating is 250 lb-ft (339 Nm); output power runs 46-55 HP (31-40 kW). Shaft power at 500 RPM is 24 HP and at 1,000 RPM is 48 HP. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, which simplifies sourcing service components.
