The Chelsea 897XAFJW-M5XY or 897XAFJWM5XY is a constant-engagement power take-off engineered for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission, tucking the housing tightly alongside the frame rail for improved pump clearance. The main shaft is a single one-piece design, eliminating the input splines between the PTO body and the output extension. Wet Spline Technology lubricates the output to extend pump shaft life in high-demand service. Continuous torque capacity reaches 670 ft-lb (908 Nm); intermittent torque is rated at 501+ ft-lb. Shaft output power reaches 128 HP at 1,000 RPM. Well-suited for aerial trucks, fire and rescue apparatus, refuse trucks, and truck crane applications.
