The Chelsea 897LDFJW-M5AF or 897LDFJWM5AF is a constant-mesh power take-off assembly built for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. The 897 Series mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the SAE C pump output flange at the rear of the transmission, giving the housing and gear section room to tuck tightly against the transmission and fit between the frame rail without interference. The main shaft is a single-piece design, eliminating the input splines that a PTO-plus-extension arrangement would require. Output uses Wet Spline Technology to extend PTO and pump shaft life under demanding, continuous-duty loads. Continuous-duty torque capacity reaches 670 ft-lb (908 Nm); intermittent torque is rated at 501+ ft-lb. Shaft power at 1,000 RPM is 128 HP.
