The Chelsea 288 Series Power Take-Off, part number 288GBFJP-M5XV or 288GBFJPM5XV, is a heavy-duty 10-bolt constant mesh PTO built on the 281 Series platform. It delivers a single continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, with wider gears and larger-capacity bearings than its predecessor. The ductile iron bearing caps are 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibrational effects and improves clamp load. The standard output shaft features a positive stop to prevent oil seal damage from shaft couplings. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. Wet Spline lubrication is available, extending pump shaft life by 7 to 10 times. A hydraulic hose is included. Applications span refuse, aerial, vacuum, and snow and ice equipment.
