The Chelsea 878 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 878XBFJP-M5AB or 878XBFJPM5AB, is a constant mesh PTO engineered to fit Allison and CAT 10-bolt transmissions. The 878 Series advances on the proven 877 Series platform with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and steel clutch disc thickness increased by 80% to address vibration from modern engine designs. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high speed applications. The Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft service life by 7 to 10 times compared to standard configurations. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce clearance and interference issues, and driveline outputs include a positive stop that eliminates oil seal damage from coupling contact.
