The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GMFJP-B5BA or 281GMFJPB5BA, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly fitted to Allison transmissions. It mounts on applications in fire and rescue, refuse, truck cranes, and pumper-cleaner trucks. The 281 Series is an evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series, adding a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring seal between the housing and bearing cap, and an 80% thicker clutch pack to resist premature wear caused by modern engine vibration. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) is included for driven-equipment protection. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.
