The Chelsea 897 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 897HBFJW-M5XS or 897HBFJWM5XS, is a constant-engagement PTO engineered for Allison 3000 and 4000 Series transmissions. It mounts via a 10-bolt pattern and positions the SAE C output flange at the rear of the transmission, moving the pump interface rearward to clear tight frame-rail installations. The one-piece main shaft eliminates the input splines found between a standard PTO body and a bolt-on output extension. Wet-spline lubrication is built in to protect the pump shaft interface under continuous demand. Continuous-duty torque capacity reaches 670 lb-ft (908 Nm); intermittent torque rating is 501+ lb-ft. Shaft power at 1,000 RPM is 128 HP (95 kW). Suited for aerial trucks, fire and rescue apparatus, refuse trucks, and truck cranes. A genuine Chelsea part from Pro Gear and Transmission.
