The Chelsea 871 Series Power Take-Off, part number 871XBFJR-D5RY or 871XBFJRD5RY, is a 10-bolt PowerShift (hydraulic) PTO designed for Allison transmissions. The 871 Series carries a continuous torque rating of up to 670 lb-ft (908 N-m) with no derating required for continuous-duty use. Nine available speed ratios and thirteen output configurations give technicians broad flexibility across fire and rescue, refuse, truck crane, and pumper-cleaner applications. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibrational effects while improving clamp load. Wet Spline, SmartStart, and Quiet Gear options are all available on this series. The 871 Series replaces the earlier Chelsea 870 Series PTO. Call us to confirm the correct configuration for your application.

The Chelsea 871 Series is the only Chelsea PTO to offer all three of the manufacturer's premium options together: Wet Spline pump flange for extended PTO and pump shaft life, SmartStart to reduce shock load at start-up, and Quiet Gear input to lower operating noise. The compact housing profile is designed to reduce clearance conflicts during installation. This series is suited for fire and rescue apparatus, refuse trucks, truck cranes, and pumper-cleaner vehicles. The 871 Series succeeds the Chelsea 870 Series, incorporating upgraded bearing cap material and an improved sealing arrangement. Reference documents include the 267/281/288/871/878 Series Owner's Manual and the 871 Series Parts List (HY25-2871-M1/US).
